Font Self Evaluation
1. I think the mood of the font is in your face, but also not. Due to the large, bold, boxy, capital letters. But playful, through the smaller features of stems and such. Therefore creating a font that is fun and expressionistic, while still looking concrete and guided.
2. The font is called compensation, for the over exaggerated features of some areas, that compensate for the under exaggerated areas of others. Like most people, I'm good at things, and I'm bad at things. But I would never consider myself a jack of all trades. So to make up for the things I can't do well at all, I have my strengths to make up for the former.
3. Places I would never see this font would be places where formal fonts are usually required. That being said, I also do not consider this an essay font. Meaning That It would be used more for short to medium titles, headers, sub-headers, and such.
4. (explained in question two) COMPENSATION. The need to compensate for loss of space.

Elements Of Design
BALANCE
Balance in design is similar to balance in physics, the symmetrical arrangements of elements. Balance is the concept of visual equilibrium, and relates to our physical sense of balance. It is a reconciliation of opposing forces in a composition that results in visual stability. Most successful compositions achieve balance in one of two ways: symmetrically or asymmetrically.
EMPHASIS
Emphasis gives an interest, counteracting confusion and monotony. Emphasis can be applied to one or more of the elements to give dominance. A focal point draws your attention to the most important element on the page.
HARMONY
is the visually satisfying effect of combining similar, related elements. ie. adjacent colours on the colour wheel, similar shapes etc.
UNITY
Where several different element arranged in a way to convey an overall feeling of one composition.
MOVEMENT
Elements within the design give visual direction - Horizontal, Vertical or Oblique. Horizontal suggests calmness, stability and tranquility. Vertical gives a feeling of balance, formality and alertness. Oblique suggests movement and action. Learn methods for controlling where a viewer will look in a composition.
PATTERN
is a repeated element within a design to create a systemized, unified consistent or characterized arrangement.
REPETITON
is an element that is introduced to design more than once.
RHYTHM
is a variation of repeated elements, without variation repetition can become monotonous.

The manipulation of shades, tones, highlights, and dark's to portray emotions and feelings, set the mood of the piece, or look aesthetically pleasing.
LINE IN DESIGN
Line in design.
The definitive lines that are used to create either simple, complicated, finished, or unfinished works. The effect does well to create messy but meaningful pieces. And also sleek and efficient designs.
SHAPE IN DESIGN
Shape in Design.
The aspect of the design that distinguishes the object or symbol's character. Shape my be subtle, or extravagant, but both do well to bring a powerful feeling to the piece.

FORM IN DESIGN

Form in Design.
The shape of an object or group of objects, brought into the third dimension, to further show the intricate details, and elegant design of said object(s).
TEXTURE IN DESIGN

Texture in Design
The textural properties added to shape and form to give further emphasize the realism, feeling, or physical grade of the piece. Reinforcing the atmosphere, by giving a consistency to the surface.
